Why print my PDF patterns at a copy shop?
There are a number of reasons why some sewists  prefer to print their PDF patterns at a copy shop. Printing at home is great, since it truly is instant gratification, but not all of us have printers at home or the patience to tape together the printed pages.  So the next best thing is to print your pattern at a copy shop—no trimming or taping required!

Printing a Test Page before print it all.

PDF patterns usually include a test square so that you can check that you're printing at the right scale before printing off your entire pattern. On patterns, this test square appears on every  pages of the pattern, but the grid you see behind the pattern pieces is made of 2X2 inches squares, so you could print and check any page.

Assembling the PDF Pattern

Once all of the pages are printed out, we'll need to tape or glue the pages together. We're essentially assembling the equivalent of a printed tissue page. Look for the guide in the our basic instructions file for how to do this.
